Studs

Lavigne, my first White Swiss Shepherd, was bred in Serbia and imported from Germany at nine months old in August 2020. His early life was marked by significant undersocialization, leaving him unusually aloof for the breed and initially terrified of new people. However, through years of dedicated training and patience, he has made remarkable progress, ultimately earning the titles of United Kennel Club Champion and International All Breed Canine Association Champion. IGP has brought out much of his confidence and we are working towards a BH and more.

Lavigne even worked briefly as a service dog, successfully performing tasks, including during a trip to Disney World that demonstrated his ability and composure. Today, he maintains a neutral/aloof demeanor toward strangers, other dogs, and most animals, except for small prey like rabbits or squirrels. His drive profile includes medium-high toy and prey drive and low-to-medium food drive.

Lavigne has participated in various activities, including trick dog work, dock diving, precision coursing, herding, and conformation shows. Currently, we are training in IGP and exploring Rally Obedience. Unfortunately, his service dog career was concluded after elbow x-rays revealed grade 1/2 changes.

Lavigne comes from exceptional lineage, descending from some of the top dogs and kennels worldwide. He is linebred 2,5-4 on Aron; 3-5 on Oscar Chico Ben van Heimrod; 3-5 on Linda Iz Razborce; 5-4 on Cassyopeya Taein; and 5-5 on Sampson von Terror.

On his paternal side, his grandsire is the renowned “Aron,” a Veteran World Winner, International Champion, Multi Champion, and Champion of Reproduction. His paternal great-granddam, Frida od Bijelih Andela, also boasts titles such as RWS World Winner, International Champion, and Veteran European Winner. Bossanova von White Angel also appears on his sire’s side.

On Lavigne’s dam’s side is a blend of working and show lines, including notable dogs from Born to Win Kennel in Estonia and Star Way Royal Kennel in Ukraine. Other significant names in his pedigree include Champion of Reproduction Don Diego Biala Pasja (a son of Aron), Angry Brigade Lumiukko, Centurio of White Energy, and many more.

Lavigne has dabbled in many sports, but I mainly focus on IGP and will soon be herding. I care more about these sports than any other. These, to me, are the foundations of a working dog. Herding is in the breed's name; they should be able to correctly herd. IGP was created as a breeding suitability test for the German Shepherd

Judges have described him as having a "Nice balanced outline...nice masculine head...nice shoulder...nice angulation...strong rear end... nice topline standing and moving...easy free gait" - Judge Mrs. Jane Alston Myers, USA.

"Typey, balanced, graceful...balanced...good proportions...good erect ears...chest well developed... front quarters well set, good bone and feet...[back quarters] balanced to front...[tail] well set, good length...[topline] strong level" - Judge Mr. Cameron Riegel, USA.

Why I decided to keep Lavigne under consideration for a breeding male in my own kennel.
1) Due to my receiving Lavigne at 9 months old, I cannot and will not say his ED is fully genetic or fully environmental.

2) Lavigne is one of the few dogs I have seen that is not linebred to dogs that had ED and or produced multiple dogs and generations of ED.

3) Lavigne is one of the few males with a very unique pedigree of high show dogs/pedigrees and high sporting pedigrees as well with strong work ethic and ability. Especially in the USA.

4) Lavigne is the only dog I know of that could accurately and instinctively alert and respond to the following: epileptic seizures, Psychogenic nonepileptic seizures, anxiety attacks, panic attacks, auditory hallucinations, visual hallucinations, tactile hallucinations, "blank outs," and more. One of the many instances I can remember is we were walking alongside a road with many cars driving by, and he pushed his body against mine away from the road before I had a hallucination and "blanked out." Another time I can remember is when I was cooking using the stovetop and Lavigne across the room, getting up, pushing away from the stovetop, and another medical issue soon occurred.

5) If I were not paranoid about the ED, I have no doubt he could trial and obtain IGP titles. This was told to me by four (4) separate IGP clubs. Of which many had been trained as decoys who have been to worlds multiple times and have been training for more than 40 years. In addition, if it were not for the lack of herding trainers, he could also obtain herding titles. Our closest trainers for herding are at least 4.5 hours one way. He loves close to everything I have ever thrown at him, the epitome of what I consider a White Swiss Shepherd should be in terms of workability. Prior to his elbow x-rays, he did dock-diving and coursing at UKC Premier 2022. He has the ability to do SAR with live find and cadaver confirmed by a SAR club and a friend of ours who is a multi-certified SAR personnel. We are also in the process of game retrievals (bird hunting), [wounded] game recovery, and more.

6) I have had Lavigne for over 5 years, and he has seldom shown any signs of discomfort. Maybe 1-2 times. Lavigne has never shown any spinal-related issues. He has never needed any medical intervention for anything. He has been cleared by a neurologist for breeding and sports and has been scheduled for an orthopedic specialist. More information about ED can be found in my "health" section under "dysplasia." If it makes any difference, I had contacted about 5 different specialty vets with concerns about his abnormal spine, and it was extremely difficult to find one to see him, given that he is asymptomatic.

7) Due to his abnormal spine, I have begun more thorough research into his lines with the information I am given. His breeder, as of January 2026, has not responded to the question on if other dogs produced had similar x-rays. On Lavigne's grandfather (Aron's) website, I have found 1 dog confirmed (out of 20+ litters) with spondylosis through KoiraNet. I researched and reached out to other breeders in his Pedigree including Born to Win Warrior kennel, who, again, as of January 2026, had 200 dogs registered, and two showed spondylosis. One dog with grade 1, one dog with grade 2. I have also made public Facebook groups in multiple WSS groups across the world with a screen shot of his pedigree and is INCOC diagnoses asking if any mutual dogs had ever had any issues, here are the links:

Facebook 1
More information about SP can be found under my "health" section.

7) I have strict requirements for any litters produced and more requirements for any litters he may produce. He may never be bred.
