Grooming

White Swiss Shepherds, just like the German Shepherds, are a double-coated breed. Regardless of their coat length, both standards require them to be double-coated. Because of that, they do not require any shaving aside from their pawpads. With proper grooming, they should never become matted.

Some grooming tools I would recommend would be a high-velocity dryer.  I currently have a FlyingPig that I found on Facebook Marketplace for $100 (steal!).

A slicker brush, a fine-tooth comb, and a good-quality pair of shears (only if you plan on doing your grooming at home). If you do plan on grooming at home, please watch as many videos and grooming lessons as possible. Or try to reach out to local groomers or grooming Facebook groups such as Groomers Helping Groomers .

Another group for used grooming items is Groomvy!
