About Us

My journey with the White Swiss Shepherd began in August 2020, when I welcomed Lavigne, a nine-month-old pup from Germany, into my life. He was initially intended to be a service dog prospect, with sport, show, and breeding as secondary considerations. However, upon his arrival, it became clear that Lavigne was severely undersocialized. Through years of dedicated hard work, unwavering determination, and consistent socialization, Lavigne has blossomed into a much more confident companion.

Ironically, Lavigne's initial insecurities opened up a world of canine sports I never knew existed. His unique challenges led us to disciplines rarely pursued by White Swiss Shepherds: herding and Internationale Gebrauchshunde Prüfung (IGP). While many White Swiss Shepherds are now excelling in IGP and other bite sports, few actively participate in or achieve titles in herding. Though neither of my dogs currently holds herding titles, this is primarily due to the scarcity of qualified tending-breed trainers in our area. We are actively seeking opportunities to further develop their natural herding instincts and pursue these titles.

Lavigne's original purpose was to be a seizure-response dog. For a long time, I experienced what was believed to be epilepsy, later diagnosed as psychogenic non-epileptic seizures (PNES). I had wanted to follow in my mother's footsteps and serve in the Navy, but my medical conditions prevent this.

Producing dogs capable of assisting others became my way of giving back. Whether as highly trained assistance dogs, comforting therapy animals, vital search and rescue partners, or inspiring sporting dogs that encourage greater involvement, my goal is to create canine companions that truly make a difference.

My overarching goals are to enhance both diversity and workability within the White Swiss Shepherd breed. I aim to produce medium-to-high drive working and sporting dogs meticulously bred for a wide array of disciplines, including service work, therapy, search and rescue, detection, herding, IGP/bitesport, rally obedience, and beyond. We are committed to breeding versatile, intelligent, and resilient dogs ready to excel in close to whatever path their future holds
