"Lavigne"
Puvvy is a more petite female, standing about 23.5 inches tall and weighing 67- 73 lbs. She tends to be neutral toward people unless they have food, in which case she becomes your biggest fan. While she has virtually no toy drive, she makes up for it with a medium-high food drive. Puvvy was imported at 2.5 years old to be my service dog, and that remains her primary role. In addition to her service work, she absolutely loves the show ring. Because service work is her focus, I have not pursued other sports heavily with her, though I would like to explore others in the future.
She is sensitive to corrections, yet impressively steady in the face of loud or startling noises such as fireworks, gunshots, cannons, and thunderstorms. Most of her life has been spent excelling in conformation shows, where she has even taken wins against seasoned, fully matured competitors.
Lavigne is a larger male, measuring about 25.5–26 inches and weighing between 73–77 lbs. He was imported from Germany (born in Serbia) at 9 months old, during the height of COVID, and has made tremendous progress since then in his socialization. Lavigne has dabbled in several sports, including precision coursing, dock diving, and herding. Currently, he is training for his BH in IGP and works in all three phases: protection, tracking, and obedience.
Because he missed out on early socialization from 0–9 months, Lavigne is naturally more aloof than some dogs. He has a low food drive, medium-high toy drive, and medium-high prey drive. Unlike Puvvy, he is not sensitive to corrections and also remains unfazed by loud noises. He also has a wonderful natural “off switch” and has instinctively developed a reliable alert/response to my seizure disorders, hallucinations, anxiety, and panic attacks.
This pairing has an estimated COI of 24%+-, no common ancestry in 5 gens, with a variety of long and medium coats. Puppies will be raised using a combination of Puppy Culture and Avidog protocols, and temperament testing will be done with Volhard or a similar method.
I would like to expect puppies suitable for show, sport, service/therapy/facility, SAR, and herding prospects. Because of this, I would like to see them go towards these type homes. They will be registered under UKC and FCPR.
All puppies will be clear of MDR1, DM, and CH by parentage. Half will carry CEA and or PD. Lavigne is untested for CT.
Hopes
My goals for this breeding is performance and working dogs who will be nuetral to their environment, I would like to hope for medium drive, good off switches, and medium food/toy drive. I would love to see working dogs (SAR, therapy, service, etc) and sporting dogs (conformation, herding, beginner club level IGP, agility, obedience, dock-diving, possibly nosework, and more). As well as active weekend warriors.
Possible service homes can include medical response, mobility aid, retrieval work, and more.
Note: I will not knowingly place in a service home for generalized anxiety or with someone who will use the dog for full weight bearing mobility work, I do not feel this breed as a whole is suitable for generalize anxiety and it is not ethical to use any dog breed for full weight bearing.
ALL PUPPIES WILL BE PRICE AT $3500 UNLESS OTHER ARRANGEMENTS HAVE BEEN MADE (E.G.: DISCOUNT).
